Local Natives Take Over The Fillmore’s Stage in Philadelphia With Opener Jordana

Coming up to The Fillmore was very exciting because Local Natives are one of my favorite bands. When first arriving to the venue it wasn’t very crowded but as Jordana took the stage the crowd began growing more and more and by the time she finished her set it was a full crowd.

Jordana brought a lot of energy and had the crowd dancing. She mentioned her Pittsburgh upbringing in Pittsburgh much to the dislikes of the crowd. The highlight of their set was when they played a song of the album that was released the same day as the show and it was very well welcomed with a great guitar solo.
After Jodana’s set everyone was super excited for Local Natives so when the venue went dark everyone got really loud for them to come out.

They opened up with Munich II, Statues in the Garden, and Megaton Mile and continued on to play all their hits throughout the show. In the middle of their set they brought up Jordana to sing the female part of their song Lemon which was a big fan favorite. Another song that got the whole crowd singing was dark days that was written by their guitar player who the singer thanked during the show for all the great songs he’s written for the band. After an amazing set full of electric energy they left the stage to the whole crowd shouting for an encore. They came back out to play Hourglass, Airplanes, and their biggest hit When Am I Gonna Lose You which had everybody singing, dancing, and throwing their hands up.
It was an amazing show and I will definitely be looking to go see them the next time they come to Philadelphia.
