LONR. RELEASES NEW SINGLE MAKE THE MOST FEATURING H.E.R.

DEBUT EP LAND OF NOTHING REAL ARRIVES APRIL 24

LONR. CROSSES 32 MILLION STREAMS OFF DEBUT SINGLES A.M. AND SAFE ZONE AFTER WRAPPING TOUR WITH YBN CORDAE

Rising genre-bursting multi-hyphenate artist, Lonr., uncovers his new single, Make the Most, featuring H.E.R. Get it here via Epic Records.

The California-born and Cape Cod, MA-raised GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, rapper, songwriter and producer teamed up with The FADER to exclusively premiere the official music video earlier this morning.

In between a tight groove and fluttering guitar, he delivers vulnerable verses before carrying an eternal pledge on the hook: “I wanna grow old with you, make the most with you, that’s the goal.” H.E.R. offers a sweetly soulful counterpoint punctuated by delicate emotion. Meanwhile, the visual depicts tender scenes of romance between Lonr. and a female companion.  However, after of moments of bliss, the story takes a very intense and topical turn…

He tells The FADER that “the idea behind Make the Most was simply that we only have one life to live, so with whatever or whoever it is that you love, make sure you make it known…make sure you chase it, because tomorrow isn’t promised.”

Lonr. introduced himself at the end of 2019 with his first-ever single, A.M. Inspiring the “A.M. Challenge”, the single ignited a flurry of activity on Tik Tok, with over 2 million user-generated videos in a short time span. This phenomenon translated to Spotify where the song soared to the Top 5 of the US Viral Chart and Top 10 of the Global Viral Chart, alongside looks on the Most Necessary and Pop Rising playlists. Together with follow-up track, Safe Zone, Lonr.’s music has since tallied over 32 million total streams worldwide, and counting. Garnering critical praise early on, XXL called him “multifaceted” while Elevator Magazine called him a “star in the making.” HotNewHipHop mirrored those sentiments, calling him a “rising star” and exclaiming that Safe Zone “builds on the momentum [of A.M.].”  Rap-Up may have put it best: “Now music’s secret weapon is stepping into his own.”

He recently concluded a sold-out tour supporting YBN Cordae, entrancing crowds across North America. VEVO also selected him for its coveted DSCVR program. As part of the initiative, he turned up with cathartic live performances of A.M. and Safe Zone, accompanied by a lone guitarist.

Now, he reveals his debut EP, Land of Nothing Real, set for release on April 24, 2020.

Emerging from under a quiet shroud of mystery, Lonr. arrives as a singular and cinematic talent whose vital and vibrant vision piques fascination as it blurs the lines between soul, soundtracks, and simmering Hip-Hop. After being uprooted from Los Angeles as a child and moving to Cape Cod, MA, Lonr. grew up feeling like the odd one out. Upon installing music software in high school, he entrenched himself in beat-making, creating his own universe to exist in. Inspired by the likes of Pharrell, OutKast, and Tyler, The Creator as well as film scores for Star Wars, Interstellar, and The Pursuit of Happyness, he developed his production chops and songwriting talents through countless hours by himself in front of the computer. On his way up, he became a sought-after songwriter, crafting hits and building worlds alongside other artists. By 2019, he found himself up for multiple GRAMMY® Awards for contributions to H.E.R.’s discography, winning two. At the same time, he began to quietly assemble what would become Lonr.’s own project, Land of Nothing Real.

“I always zone out and go into my own little world,” Lonr. explains. “That’s the Land of Nothing Real. If you don’t like where you are, you can escape into another realm. This project is really about love, longing, and desire. Those topics are always on people’s minds. I’m examining them with melodic and dreamy songs.”

Capturing palpable and relatable emotion, Lonr. might just make you feel a little less alone: “I want listeners to feel like this is something new,” he says. “Most of all, I hope they resonate with me and feel like they’re being heard and not so alone in this world.” Welcome to Lonr.’s world.
