LUIS ÁNGEL “EL FLACO” celebrates 25 Years Of Trajectory With His New Album YO TE EXTRAÑARÉ
Luis Ángel “El Flaco” considers himself a man of his word, even before an artist. Thus, after a tough 2023 and arduous months of work, he delivers Yo Te Extrañaré; a touching album that feels sincere and inspiring. With this production, Luis Ángel also reaffirms 25 years of career with a loyal audience, placing him as the new king of band music.
“I want to be an artist that lasts, an artist that will be remembered for many years for his music, for his perseverance,” revealed the singer last year after a visit to El Salvador, where more than 80.000 people gathered to enjoy his live show. “The passion for music is something uncontrollable, it’s something you can’t describe, it’s an infatuation,” he said.
“Yo Te Extrañaré” is a sample of his commitment to his art and fans. The songs “Así las Cosas por Acá,” “Por Si Me Les Adelanto,” and “¿Qué Se Siente?” (each one with official videos with more than 1M views) were previews.
New songs like “Bajón Emocional,” “Cabrón y Medio,” “Las 2:22” or “No Me Llamen” represent all sides of the Sinaloense rhythms.
“Yo Te Extrañaré” is the title of an original hit by Tercer Cielo (a famous Christian duo formed by two singers, husband and wife). Luis Ángel chose the song during the album’s recording and gave it an interpretation that impacts the first verse. “Yo te Extrañaré,” whose official video is available on YouTube, connects perfectly with a situation that marked his life as a father. The artist chose Carolina Ross, one of the sweetest Mexican voices of today, to join him in the song. Together the artists manage to project that emotional feeling that will connect with all of us who, at some point, have lost a loved one.
This is Luis Ángel’s first album with Sony Music Mexico, with whom he signed a few months ago. The album is also part of the celebrations for the singer’s 25 years of career. As part of this celebration, “El Flaco” will perform on March 8 at the Telmex Auditorium in Guadalajara, where he will also perform songs such as “El PataSalada,” the single written and produced by Pepe Garza.

Thanks to his natural talent, “El Flaco,” joined one of the most influential bands of the genre Los Recoditos from an early age, where he was the lead singer for 16 years. In 2020 he decided to embark on his path as a soloist, releasing his first single, “Reflexión,” a notable hit on streaming platforms, a promising way to start in radio stations in Mexico and the United States.
After that first release and in a short period of time, Luis Ángel has produced a significant amount of new songs and some collaborations that became instant classics such as “Vida Truncada” y “Hasta la Miel Amarga,” “El Que Te Amó,” “El Tiempo No Perdona,” “Para ti papá,” and “Ni Que Valieras Tanto”, whose videos together reach almost one billion views on YouTube.
In addition to his success as a singer, Luis Ángel has also stood out as an entrepreneur thanks to his restaurant DE ALCURNIA, located in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. The place has become one of the most visited restaurants in the city and a favorite among Mexican music artists. Recently, he opened his own barbershop GRANDES LIGAS in his native Sinaloa.
