MARÍA ISABEL RETURNS TO SHARE NEW SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO “BIEN BIEN”

After offering fans a brief hint at new music via the teaser “Sunset Tower” she shared on social media last week, Dominican-American artist María Isabel shares her new single “Bien Bien”. Produced by Grammy award-winning musician and producer El Guincho (Charli xcx, Rosalía, FKA twigs), María’s new single signals the start of an imaginative new era that is directly tied to her roots growing up as a Dominican-American artist in New York City. The song is accompanied by a music video directed by 91 Rules shot along the Brooklyn waterfront and overlooking the city.

“Bien Bien” translates the intimacy of María’s vocals to the dancefloor, driven by El Guincho’s production and presenting a commanding new sound for María, evolved from the soul-bearing R&B of her debut EP Stuck in the Sky and her subsequent followup i hope you’re very unhappy without me. The pair of projects collectively captured the attention of Pigeons & Planes, Wonderland, Vogue and NYLON, who praised the vulnerability and incisive nature of her songwriting in both English and Spanish. “Bien Bien” is the byproduct of a period María spent honing her craft and vision for her music with El Guincho to speak definitively to her identity as a Dominican-American woman with New York City roots, making music that captures the character and energy of her two formative homes.
