MARIAH CAREY EMBRACES AND IGNITES RAINBOW: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EXPANDED EDITION
Mariah Carey, the legendary songstress and record-breaking female artist with sales exceeding 200 million records, has launched the 25th anniversary deluxe edition of her seminal album, Rainbow, through Legacy Recordings. Coinciding with Pride Month, the digital version of Rainbow: 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition is packed with previously unreleased tracks, crowd-pleasers, live renditions, and iconic remixes. This includes a fresh rendition of ‘Rainbow’s End’, produced by Mariah Carey and David Morales, along with two novel remixes by Jermaine Dupri & David Morales.
On October 18, the Rainbow: 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition will be accessible as a 2-LP rainbow picture disc set, with preorders for the vinyl currently open.
Rainbow, Mariah Carey’s seventh studio album, initially hit the shelves on November 2nd, 1999. The album boasts two of Mariah’s chart-topping singles, “Heartbreaker” featuring Jay-Z, and “Thank God I Found You” featuring Joe and 98 degrees. Debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200, the album has achieved 3X platinum status in the US, 4X platinum in Japan, and 3X platinum in Canada. With global sales surpassing 10 million copies and over a billion streams worldwide, “Heartbreaker” featuring Jay-Z has officially reached 2X platinum. The launch of Rainbow: 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition is part of a series of anniversary celebrations, including “Butterfly 25” and “Music Box 30,” highlighting Mariah’s extensive and timeless discography.
Alongside the release of Rainbow: 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition, Mariah is also unveiling Rainbow pride merchandise. The online collection, showcasing brand new designs, is now available for fans to purchase exclusively in the Mariah Carey official Amazon store.
