mark william lewis launches A24 Music’s “Sound Check At Cherry Lane Theatre”
mark william lewis debuts as the first performer in the newly reopened historic Cherry Lane Theatre’s new live video series “Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre.”
mark william lewis’ performance premieres following the release of his critically-acclaimed self-titled album, the first artist release on A24 Music. The Sound Check, directed by Danica Kleinknecht, features performances of “Ugly”, “Recent Future”, “Brain”, and “Ecstatic Heads.” Produced by A24, A24 Music and Cherry Lane Theatre, the intimate performance was recorded on the iconic Cherry Lane stage and is currently airing on A24’s YouTube channel. It was followed by Tame Impala’s “Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre” performance, and more performances are imminent.
Over the past few years, Lewis has become a fixture in more innovative spaces of London’s live music scene, with his performances and music becoming a word-of-mouth success. This led to sold-out US debut headline shows at Elsewhere and Public Records (NYC) and The Echo (LA) last year, as well as a full headline show at a sold-out ICA earlier this year. mark william lewis is currently on tour in the EU and will be touring North America in November.
