MYKE TOWERS SURPRISES FANS WITH THE DELUXE EDITION OF “LA PANTERA NEGRA”

The extended version includes “DEGENERE” a collaboration with hitmaker Benny Blanco

Two months after the release of “LA PANTERA NEGRA,” multi-platinum superstar Myke Towers has dropped the deluxe edition of his latest album. The expanded version is out now.

“LA PANTERA NEGRA DELUXE” features ten new tracks, including collaborations with Juhn, Sech, De La Ghetto, and Maldy. These artists join an impressive roster of collaborators from the original release, including Jay Wheeler, NTG, Darell, Peso Pluma, Omar Montes, Cosculluela, YOVNGCHIMI, and Bad Bunny.

The lead single, “DEGENERE,” samples the melody from Suzanne Vega’s 80s hit “Tom’s Diner,” whose hook was later popularized by British duo DNA in their 1990 remix.

Produced by Benny Blanco, the song celebrates female empowerment, from the freedom to love and enjoy life to the confidence exuded through her outfits and captivating presence on the dance floor.

Myke Towers’ sixth studio album, “LA PANTERA NEGRA,” explores the musical roots and sounds that launched the Puerto Rican artist’s career nearly a decade ago. While rap and reggaeton take centre stage throughout the LP, Towers maintains his innovative edge, challenging stereotypes and redefining the boundaries of Latin music.

“TAMBIÉN,” a standout track from both the original and deluxe versions, has already surpassed 25 million streams on Spotify and boasts the highest daily growth rate of any song on the album.

“LA PANTERA NEGRA DELUXE” caps off an extraordinary year for Myke Towers, which saw him receive two Latin GRAMMY nominations for Best Urban Song and five for the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The rapper also released a hugely successful collaboration with world-renowned DJ Tiësto on the remix of “LA FALDA,” partnered with MLB for the “El Béisbol es Otra Cosa” campaign, earned a 2024 MTV VMA nomination in the Best Latin category for his global hit “LALA,” and graced the covers of Billboard Latino and Rolling Stone en Español, as well as its regional editions in Colombia, Mexico, and Spain.
