NAVY BLUE MAKES HIS CAMP FLOG GNAW DEBUT

Navy Blue, New Music, Music, Entertainment News, CAMP FLOG GNAW, Festivals, Music Festival,

Navy Blue delivered his first-ever performance at Camp Flog Gnaw, marking a pivotal moment in the artist’s evolution as he brought his spiritually rich, poetic world to one of the most influential festival stages in music.

Taking the stage at Dodger Stadium, Navy Blue moved through a gripping set that spotlighted the emotional depth, musicianship, and lyrical mastery that have earned him widespread critical acclaim. His performance arrives on the heels of his newly released album, The Sword & The Soaring, available everywhere now.

Praised as “one of the best rappers out” (HotNewHipHop) and an artist whose music feels “spiritually gratifying” (Noisey), Navy Blue continues to carve out a singular lane. The Sword & The Soaring explores themes of inner battles, resilience, ascension, and the presence of what he calls angels—an introspective body of work anchored by his standout lyricism and introspective storytelling.

Across The Sword & The Soaring, Navy Blue navigates the balance between discipline and surrender, shadow and transcendence. The title reflects duality—“The Sword” as the symbol of endurance and “The Soaring” as the embodiment of grace.

The Sword & The Soaring explores the internal battles we endure, while further investigating the presence of what I choose to call angels,” shares Navy Blue. “The hardships we face in our lifetimes are never in vain. This album honors who I have become, as I grieve who I have lost. The sword is the tool, and the soaring is the heavenly council. Angel Michael, defend me in battle. Be my guide and protector, that I may resist the wicked’s snares and live in the light of God.”  — Navy Blue

Produced by Child Actor, Chris Keys, Gray Matter, Demahjiae, Foisey, Shungu, Malik, akabluesky, Animoss, Sebb Bash, Mejiwahn, and Navy Blue himself, the project continues Sage’s signature blend of meditative lyricism and warm, sample-driven production. The album’s centerpiece, “24 Gospel,” reunites him with longtime collaborator Earl Sweatshirt, their synergy capturing the spirit of creative brotherhood that runs throughout the record.
