New Found Glory came to Downtown San Diego and performed at the House of Blues. Along with them were openers Doll Skin, Real Friends, and the Early November. New Found Glory is an American rock back that formed back in 1997. Their first Album “Nothing Gold Can Stay” released in 1999. Through the years they have become well known and have been called the “God Father of Pop Punk”. Fast forward to tonight, their theme of the tour was “From The Screen To Your Stereo.”
The night started with Doll Skin, a fierce female band who got the crowds energy pumped up and ready to go! They got to perform songs from their newest album “Love Is Dead And We Killed Her.”
Next up was The Early November. Their music got the crowd jumping and ready for the rest of the night.
Real Friends followed with a stellar performance. Real friends really connected with the crowd. As Real Friends set came to an end, the crowds energy was at a high.
The lights started to dim and All Star by Smash Mouth played in the background as New Found Glory ran out onto the stage. The stage set up was one similar to a of a movie theater with a popcorn stand and everything.
Lead singer Jordan Pundik ran out wearing a boxer’s uniform rocking out to Eye of The Tiger as the crowd goes wild! The band played many of their hit songs as well as 7 cover songs from movies Frozen, Shrek, The Greatest Showman, and many more.
They closed out the night with fan favorite song, “My Friends Over You”, with a surprise confetti canon. If you want a night full of laughs, amazing music, and crowd surfers, catch New Found Glory in concert near you!
