NORTH WEST DROPS MUSIC VIDEO FOR “AISHITE” OFF HER DEBUT EP N0rth4evr
13-year-old producer, and artist North West drops the music video for “Aishite”. Directed by Ty Akimoto, the video follows North haunting the halls of a school and video game center. The title “Aishite” translates from Japanese to “love me”, a phrase that is repeated throughout the song.
“Aishite” is a single off of North West’s debut EP N0rth4evr released in May via gamma. N0rth4evr demonstrates a culmination of hard work from the young star as she not only performed but produced every song on the EP. N0rth4evr was received to wide critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone hailing it “a surprisingly assured statement of self,” The Fader added she “pushes past inspiration to carve out her own niche” and Hypebeast declared “a calculated experimentation with genre and technical arrangement.”
Most recently, North West made her festival performance debut at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash in Chicago.
