OMAR COURTZ NAMED FINALIST AT THE 2025 BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC AWARDS WITH DEBUT ALBUM PRIMERA MUSA

Puerto Rican breakthrough star Omar Courtz (aka Ousi) has been announced as a finalist at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards in the category Top Latin Rhythm Album of the Year with his debut studio album Primera Musa. The milestone marks the first time Courtz earns recognition at the awards, underscoring the impact of a debut that has resonated strongly since its release in September 2024.
Released via Mr. 305 Records/Rimas Entertainment LLC, Primera Musa features 17 tracks with collaborations including Rauw Alejandro, Anuel AA, Dei V, and Bryant Myers. The album quickly earned Courtz his first Top 10 entry on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.
Omar Courtz told Apple Music of his creative vision: “Right now in Puerto Rico, the younger artists stopped delving into reggaetón. I’d love to reignite the flame of the Puerto Rican reggaetón that lost ground in the past couple of years.”
That same energy is electrifying audiences on his Primera Musa World Tour, currently performing across Latin America before heading to Spain later this year.
The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place on October 23rd at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, broadcasting live on Telemundo, where Primera Musa stands among the year’s Top Latin rhythm releases.
