OVY ON THE DRUMS ESTRENA “CASSETTE 01″ JUNTO A MYKE TOWERS

Critically acclaimed Colombian hitmaker and producer, Ovy On The Drums drops his first installment of a musical series in collaboration with global hitmaker Myke Towers titled Cassette 01. Packed with innovative urban beats, this album showcases Ovy’s singular style and his seamless ability to collaborate with diverse artists.

Recorded at Myke Towers’ studio in his native Puerto Rico, Cassette 01 is a testament to the creative chemistry between Ovy On The Drums and Myke Towers, resulting in an album that pushes the boundaries of the urban genre. The focus track of Cassette 01 is “Desataaa” featuring Myke Towers and the Spanish pop-urban sensation, Saiko, which promises to ignite dance floors across the globe. “Desataaa” is a great example of what makes Ovy On The Drums one of the most in-demand producers.

Ovy On The Drums boasts an impressive body of work, having been recognized by the Recording Academy eight times including a Latin GRAMMY award for Karol G’s ‘Album Of The Year’ MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO, and most recently, a GRAMMY win for ‘Best Música Urbana Album’ alongside Karol G for MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO as well. In addition to working closely with Karol G, Ovy On The Drums has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including J Balvin, Sebastián Yatra, Becky G and Rauw Alejandro, just to name a few.
 
“The chemistry was magical. Every time we were in the studio, something great would come out without forcing it, and that’s when we decided to do a project together,” said Myke Towers.
 
With this album, Ovy On The Drums masterfully fuses his musicality with nostalgia to deliver this one-of-a-kind listening experience. Every track on “Cassette 01” takes listeners on a journey through a diverse musical landscape, blending genres and incorporating a breadth of sounds to create something truly special. The series of videos that accompany this album are inspired by the concept of “cassette laundering,” a clever play on “money laundering.”
