Path to Triumph: Eagles Secure Playoff Spot
For the fourth consecutive year under head coach Nick Sirianni, the Philadelphia Eagles have secured a playoff spot.
The Eagles clinched their berth on Sunday with a 22-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers, combined with Atlanta’s loss to Minnesota and Arizona’s defeat by Seattle.
With the win, Philadelphia improved to 11-2 (.846), marking their ninth straight win, which ties a franchise record. The Eagles are now the eighth NFL team since byes were introduced in 1990 to win nine consecutive games following a bye week, according to Elias Sports. This also marks just the fifth time in team history the Eagles have started 11-2 or better after 13 games, joining the 2022 (12-1), 2017 (11-2), 2004 (12-1), and 1980 (11-2) seasons.
Sirianni is only the second head coach in Eagles history to lead the team to three straight seasons with 11 or more wins, joining Andy Reid (2000-04), who accomplished the feat five times.
Additionally, Sirianni has posted a 45-19 (.703) career record in four seasons with the Eagles. His .703 winning percentage ranks sixth-highest in NFL history and is the best among all current NFL head coaches, according to Elias Sports.
