Pedro Capó reinterprets “Vivo”, one of the most special songs of his career, from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico

Pedro Capó premiered the music video for “Vivo”, recorded live at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, a new version of one of the most significant and beloved songs in his catalog. The performance was filmed during his concert at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in February 2025.

Originally released in 2015 on the album Aquila, the song was written several years earlier during a period of personal introspection, following a retreat in the mountains of New York. Since its release, “Vivo” has remained one of the most recognizable compositions in Capó’s repertoire and marked an important milestone in his career, as it was part of his first nomination for Song of the Year at the 2015 Latin Grammy Awards.

Over time, the song became a fan favorite during his live performances and one of the tracks that generates the strongest connection with audiences. Its lyrics explore love from an intimate, spiritual perspective, leading many listeners to use it for personal moments and major celebrations, including first dances at weddings.

The recording from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico captures one of the most meaningful moments of the concert, highlighting the artist’s performance with his band and the crowd’s response. The release is part of a series of live recordings documenting this stage of his career and his direct relationship with his audience.

This release follows the recent premiere of the official video for “Divina,” which was also recorded at the same Coliseo performance. Both releases coincide with the first anniversary of La Carretera, the album that was included in Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Best Albums of 2025. Its lead single, which shares the album’s title, was also named among the 50 Best Songs of the year.

Pedro Capó currently holds three Premio Lo Nuestro nominations: Pop Song of the Year for “La carretera,” Pop Album of the Year for La carretera, and Pop/Rock Song of the Year for “Sabe bien.” The artist is working on new music while preparing to continue his U.S. tour in 2026.
