Randle Nails 3 Pointer At Buzzer Lifting Timberwolves Past Booker, Timberwolves 120-117 Win
Julius Randle Hits Buzzer-Beating 3-Pointer to Lead Minnesota Timberwolves Past Phoenix Suns 120-117
Julius Randle nailed a game-winning buzzer-beating 3-pointer to finish with 35 points and propel the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 120-117 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon.
With just 2.1 seconds remaining, the Timberwolves advanced the ball after a timeout. Randle received the inbounds pass and sank a clutch 24-foot 3-pointer as time expired.
Minnesota overcame a career-high 44 points from Devin Booker, who was forced to shoulder the scoring burden for a Suns team missing both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal due to injuries.
Anthony Edwards contributed 24 points, largely in the second half, and also picked up a technical foul on the same day he was fined by the NBA for an obscene gesture during Friday’s win over the Sacramento Kings.
Grayson Allen added 18 points off the bench for Phoenix, hitting key 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to keep the Suns competitive.
