RINA SAWAYAMA ANNOUNCES BIGGEST HEADLINE PERFORMANCE TO DATE AT LONDON’S ROUNDHOUSE

CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DEBUT ALBUM SAWAYAMA OUT NOW

Rina Sawayama announces her biggest headline show to date at London’s Roundhouse after the UK leg of The Dynasty Tour sells out. The show will take place on 17th November, with pre-sale tickets going live Wednesday 14th October at 10am UK via O2, Roundhouse and DICE. Full on-sale available from Friday 16th. Tickets will be available from https://www.rina.online/tour

The date announce arrives after the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, SAWAYAMA. Lauded by the Independent as “An audacious album from one of the boldest voices in pop…” and “An honest genre-exploding self-portrait.” By NME, SAWAYAMA is an intimate look into Rina’s world. The album encompasses her most personal music yet, featuring production from the likes of Clarence Clarity (exec producer along with Rina) and co-writes from Nicole Morier (Britney Spears) and Kyle Shearer (Carly Rae Jepsen).
SAWAYAMA includes a diverse range of tracks, from the nu metal smash “STFU!” to the club banger “Comme Des Garçons” and the track “Chosen Family,” her ode to the LGBTQ+ community. SAWAYAMA is an album that encompasses who Rina is. She explains: “The album ultimately is about family and identity. It’s about understanding yourself in the context of two opposing cultures (for me British and Japanese), what ‘belonging’ means when home is an evolving concept, figuring out where you sit comfortably within and awkwardly outside of stereotypes, and ultimately trying to be ok with just being you, warts and all.”

Rina Sawayama is a Japanese-British musician, model and actor who started her solo music career after graduating from Cambridge University in 2012. Rina rapidly attracted the attention of press around her early releases which saw her included in the Dazed100 list and grace the covers of Clash Magazine and Sunday Times Style. In April 2020 she released her debut album “SAWAYAMA” via independent label Dirty Hit which was applauded by critics across the globe and has led her to be featured on the covers of NME, King Kong, DIY and Crash Magazine as well as garnering support from Vogue, BBC, CNN and VICE.
