Rising artist mehro premieres their new track “Calling All Angels (432 Hz)” alongside an accompanying video. The song marks a new direction from the genre bending artist who further showcases their ability to craft songs that scratch and pull at your emotions. Not only is mehro’s songwriting incredibly riveting, but their ability to speak well beyond their years is quite remarkable.

Mehro chose to record this song in 432 Hz so that the music could speak as loud as their intention. Often referred to as “natural tuning,” the frequency reduces stress and anxiety, enhances mental clarity and focus, promotes healing and pain relief, improves sleep quality, supports physical and mental energy levels, deepens emotional connection and improves the listening experience.

“This song is for anyone who has ever had a prayer go unanswered,” proclaims mehro. “The melody rose from the ashes of one of the most difficult periods of my life. In this chapter I realized that much of the world’s sorrow is just that, a collection of unanswered prayers. There are two forces: one pulling us down, one raising us up and the one that wins is the one you feed. A voice spoke to me while I wrote this, “dreams come with the cost of being asleep.’”

Mehro continues, “432 Hz was a concept I knew to be in healing frequency videos on YouTube but I never had seen or heard it on a song. This inspired me to experiment and when changing the frequency of this record, I was moved in a deeper way than the standard tuning version. Regardless of the frequency’s benefits, I would still choose to release ‘Calling All Angels’ in this frequency because at the end of the day (for this record specifically) it just feels better. Music is a drug without side effects. I’m just leaning into the benefits of that drug.”

Enveloped in music from childhood, mehro initially resisted a career as a musician. That changed when the then-teenager watched the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line. Inspired, they picked up a guitar that night and began learning “Folsom Prison Blues,” eventually beginning to write their own music. Since arriving with their debut single “perfume” in 2020, the singer-songwriter immediately caused ripples. The stripped-back love song has since garnered more than 82 million streams on Spotify while their powerful track “chance with you” has amassed over 130 million Spotify streams.

In late 2025, mehro released their latest album, weirdthrob to critical praise. Consisting of 9 tracks, the album channels raw emotion through layers of distortion, heightened tension and a visceral, unfiltered approach to songwriting and production. The album pushes discomfort to the surface, using abrasive textures and volume not just as aesthetics, but as emotional tools.

Spring of 2022 saw mehro perform on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series and garnered further praise from the likes of NPR’s All Songs Considered, PAPER, FLAUNT Magazine, V Magazine, Wonderland, American Songwriter, FLOOD Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Under The Radar, Ones To Watch, Cero Magazine, Vestal Magazine and more. In addition, mehro was named a 2025 “Artists To Watch” by Grammy.com.
