RISING CHILEAN SENSATION AKRIILA DROPS “partedemipartedeti”
Rising Chilean alt-pop singer-songwriter AKRIILA has shared her latest single, “partedemipartedeti”, available now via Atlantic Records. Sung entirely in Spanish, the alternative track captures the emotional limbo of waiting for someone torn between staying and leaving, offering a powerful preview of her eagerly awaited new album lucy miró al mundo y notó que está girando, es mi segundo disco (lucy looked at the world, and noticed it’s spinning).
Among the standout tracks featured on lucy miró al mundo y notó que está girando, es mi segundo disco is the inventive single “roger,” which recently dropped last month. Pairing glitching rock and electronic production with deeply vulnerable songwriting about seeking a connection with someone who understands your emptiness, the single is accompanied by an official music video. Co-directed by photographer Julian Burgueño and filmmaker/visual artist Chris Cadaver.
Further highlights include AKRIILA’s breakthrough Atlantic Records debut single, “suave,” a collaboration with digicore sensation Jane Remover available everywhere now HERE. Rolling Stone en Español lauded the song as “an ideal introduction to AKRIILA’s new era, a bilingual, chaotic, and emotionally intense hit that further expands the Chilean artist’s sonic universe,” highlighting how both boundary-pushing musicians blend their distinct styles through intimate vocals, warped synths, and indie-hyperpop layers. AKRIILA is heralding the upcoming project with a busy international live schedule, including her just-wrapped debut US headline run. The tour, which sold out immediately upon announcement, prompted several additional dates and upgraded venues. Kicking off with a three-night residency at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY, the tour featured packed, standing-room-only performances at iconic venues, including Schubas and Lincoln Hall in Chicago, IL, The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA, and Rickshaw Stop x Popscene in San Francisco, CA. This fall will see AKRIILA embark on a series of European performances spanning the UK, France, Spain, and beyond. Following those dates, she will launch the Latin American leg of “el tour de lucy,” which includes stops in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.
