RISING R&B SINGER AND SONGWRITER BRYANT BARNES PROVIDES SOLACE ON NEW DEBUT ALBUM OUT NOW

Rising alternative R&B singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Bryant Barnes proudly presents his anxiously awaited full-length debut album, SOLACE, out now via Mercury Records. From the jump, the 17-track affair enshrines him as one of music’s most enigmatic, engaging, and entrancing new voices.
Among many highlights, the single “Greed” instantly captivates. His breathy delivery coasts over a gentle keyboard loop backed by a glassy beat and thumping bassline. You can feel how tightly he holds onto the notes of the pre-chorus when he flashes his falsetto and acknowledges, “We’re living a lie, so maybe we should face the truth. We’ve taken too much. I’ve got nothing left.” The tempo picks up on the refrain, and he wonders, “So, baby what more can I give you?”
With its tender emotionality and stark soundscape, the song captures the tension of a relationship on the brink of collapse, evoking the exhaustion, the longing, and the hope it won’t fall apart. From the title track and opener “Solace” to the cathartic finale “Last Yea,” the entire body of work taps into the rawest of feelings, while never sacrificing melody for intensity.
The album boasts his recent string of singles as well such as, “My Everything” and “Priceless,” which received widespread acclaim. CLASH marveled at, “his glistening falsetto hook acting as an expression of real love,” and Rated R&B praised how “The latter ballad brims with emotion as Barnes expresses his longing for an endless love, one that’s more fulfilling than anything money can buy.” In the summer, he set the stage for the LP’s arrival with the fan favorite “Two Sides Of Goodbye,” which has also racked up millions of streams.
With “Two Sides Of Goodbye,” he picked up where he left off with the fan favorite “Why Can’t You” at the top of the year. The latter has reeled in 12 million-plus streams and earned acclaim. Billboard touted it among “R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week.”New Wave Magazine promised, “Bryant is making sure his presence is felt within the industry.”
Earlier this year, he supported 070 Shake on The Petrichor Tour across North America, captivating audiences around the country.
