SASHA KEABLE RELEASES HER LONG-AWAITED EMOTIONALLY-CHARGED PROJECT ACT RIGHT
British-Colombian rising R&B star Sasha Keable makes a triumphant return with her most visceral and emotionally charged project to date, the highly anticipated ‘act right’ project out now via The Fight Club Records/Sony Music UK.
Written in the aftermath of a painful breakup, ‘act right’ charts an emotional journey from anger and despair to self-reflection and empowerment. “This project comes from a place of betrayal and heartbreak,” says Sasha. “I felt like if I didn’t make this music I might lose my mind. I made this project for myself, it’s exactly what I needed.”
With her powerhouse vocals front and center, the Project blends nostalgic R&B stylings with cutting-edge soul. It features rising stars Beam (on the sultry, self-assured “Work”) and Leon Thomas, this year’s biggest R&B breakout, who co-wrote and features on the project’s focus track “move it along”. The single is a moment of defiance from Sasha as she reflects on a past relationship and fills herself with confidence that she is ready to move on “ring the alarm please.”

act right follows a string of celebrated releases from Sasha this year. The project was launched with “act right”, an emotionally charged anthem delivered live on Later… with Jools Holland, and followed by the ferocious “FEEL SOMETHING”, written during a late-night session in Tennessee with Grammy-winner Taylor Hill and P90Pope. The recent months have seen Sasha reach new heights, including the release of “Take Your Time” ft. 6lack, and a momentous co-sign from Beyoncé, who named her as one of today’s most inspiring artists. Since her acclaimed 2021 EP Intermission, featuring the hit “Killing Me” ft. Jorja Smith, Sasha has returned with fearless honesty, embracing her identity and giving voice to the complexities of love, loss, and queer relationships. Her first single in three years, “Hold Up”, marked the beginning of this new chapter, met with admiration and support from Leon Thomas, Little Simz, Daniel Kaluuya, Yebba, John Legend, Wu Tang Clan, Mahalia, and more.
With over 55 million streams, a following of well over 400K across Instagram and TikTok, and a growing reputation for unfiltered, emotionally raw songwriting, Sasha Keable is one of the UK’s most exciting contemporary R&B voices. Drawing from a rich musical heritage, from Donny Hathaway and Mary J. Blige to Colombian Cumbia and Vallenatos, Sasha channels both soul and Latin drama into her sound. With this project, she steps fully into her power.
