Savannah James and April McDaniel Launch Signed, a Holding Company to Unify Their Growing Portfolio of Women-Focused Businesses

Serial entrepreneurs Savannah James and April McDaniel announced the launch of Signed, a modern holding company designed to unify and scale their growing portfolio of women-focused businesses. The venture is formed in partnership with MarcyPen Capital Partners (“MarcyPen”), a consumer growth equity platform that provides strategic capital and partnership to businesses that create, move and lead culture.
Signed brings together three fast-growing existing ventures — creative agency Crown & Conquer, members-only women’s community Let It Break, and the hit podcast Everybody’s Crazy hosted by McDaniel and James — under one umbrella. With Signed, James and McDaniel are expanding their roles from founders to visionary business builders, creating a platform that pairs infrastructure with creative and cultural insight, designed to launch, support and scale their next generation of brands and businesses with intention.
“At this point in our careers, we’re not chasing moments — we’re building something that can stand the test of time. Signed is about putting real structure behind the ecosystem we’ve been developing for years.” said April McDaniel.
“What excites us most about Signed is that it gives us the ability to grow with intention — not just to expand for the sake of expansion, but to thoughtfully build brands, partnerships and experiences that genuinely reflect our values and the audience we’ve cultivated over the years.” said Savannah James.
Built for intentional scale, Signed serves as the connective tissue across James and McDaniel’s growing portfolio, including:
- Crown & Conquer — A bold, woman-owned agency known for fearless creativity and cultural impact.
- Let It Break — A members-only community designed for women ready to grow from the inside out. Through intimate group coaching, curated experiences, and expert-led gatherings, it offers a grounded, holistic path forward — one that honors who you are and who you’re becoming.
- Everybody’s Crazy — McDaniel and James’ hit podcast that launched in 2024, which has quickly earned rave reviews and cultivated a passionate, engaged audience.
Christopher Gray will serve as Chief Creative Officer, where he will oversee the creative vision across all Signed companies. Bringing invaluable experience at Wieden+Kennedy London and Nike, he will lead the development of a cohesive and culturally resonant creative direction across Crown & Conquer, Let It Break, and Everybody’s Crazy.
“We’re entering a new phase of growth with Signed, and the addition of a leader like Christopher reflects our commitment to building a world-class team with deep expertise across the creative landscape,” added McDaniel and James. “We’re also grateful to have the support of MarcyPen, whose understanding of entrepreneurship and the consumer sector makes them a valuable partner as we continue to scale.”
“The ambition of this venture feels totally unmatched, and unlike anything I’ve experienced in the entirety of my career. There is an appetite to go big and aim high with all the talent, tenacity and ability to execute at such a level that will redefine industry standards,” said Gray.
As part of the launch, Crown & Conquer will enter its next chapter as the flagship creative engine of the Signed platform. Operating within the Signed ecosystem, the agency will adopt a more refined and curated approach — focusing on high-impact partnerships and strategic collaborations that reflect the company’s next phase of growth. The agency’s expanding client roster also signals this new direction. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has recently signed on as Crown & Conquer’s newest creative partner, marking a significant institutional collaboration for the agency.
