SCARLIP RELEASES NEW SINGLE “HAVE YOU SEEN MY BOYFRIEND” f/ ZEDDY WILL!

ScarLip makes her latest viral sensation official with the release of her new track, “Have You Seen My Boyfriend?”, featuring NYC native social media sensation Zeddy Will. The song, which originated from a January TikTok post, has had fans brimming with anticipation, from social media to frenzied reactions at Scar’s headlining shows. Now, the hotly-coveted release is available for all to enjoy.

 

“Have You Seen My Boyfriend?” began as a simple TikTok video featuring ScarLip entertaining her fans with a non-musical, faux-desperate cry for the location of her boyfriend. From there, the emote took on a life of its own, and despite its January origin date, the video is still being referenced by fans months later. Now, as the original post draws nearer to one million engagements, Scar capitalizes on its hype with the release of the official track.  

On the heels of standout tracks like “Welcome To New York,” “No Statements,” and “Blick,” Scar’s newest song gives her audience an opportunity to get familiar with the rapper’s range, showcasing a rosier and more buoyant atmosphere than much of her previous work. Make no mistake, however. “Have You Seen My Boyfriend?” is very much an anthem. 

Emphasizing this notion is the presence of Zeddy Will, the Queens-bred digital creator with a massive social media following of approximately eight million users. Will joined ScarLip onstage at her show in Connecticut on March 30, and the reception indicated that ScarLip has serious potential in her hands with her new track. 

Recent accomplishments for Scar include being a digital cover star for Hello Beautiful magazine, the first such honor of the young New Yorker’s career. In the corresponding story, Scar recalls the high praise she received from fellow New Yorker and Hip Hop legend Swizz Beatz. “‘Cause you saying I’m like the female version to [DM]X? I appreciate it and grateful that a person like Swizz would say that,” Scar told ‘Cassius.’ “But inside I’m like, That’s some big shoes to wear!” 

After lighting up stages from Yankee Stadium to the BET Awards in 2023, Scar may very well be suited to fit them. “Have You Seen My Boyfriend?” is now available.
