“SEASONS” CHANGE BUT LOVE REMAINS ON SULLVN’S NEW HOLIDAY SINGLE
As we begin getting into the holiday spirit, San Diego’s premiere 10-piece collective, sullvn releases their new single “Seasons”. The song is featured in Tyler Perry’s new film Finding Joy, which came out earlier this month.
Led by Robert “Sully” Sullivan, the ever-changing group is built up of what Creative Executive Lens perfectly dubbed “a sonic melting pot of elite players.” The acclaimed lineup includes the GRAMMY-nominated bassist James East (Lionel Richie, Toni Braxton, Eric Clapton), versatile saxophonist Tripp Sprague (Kenny Loggins, Smokey Robinson, Todd Rundgren), guitarist Brian Jordan (James Brown, Dave Matthews, The Allman Brothers Band) and many others. Sully shared that, “‘Seasons’ is for all of us who share this very special upcoming holiday season with ‘just the two of us.’ A veritable tribute to those intimate holiday moments.”
The band has had a whirlwind year with recent highlights including a newly inked record deal with Big Noise Music Group and a cover of “The Impression That I Get” by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones that sparked conversations about a new wave of ska. Giving his official stamp of approval on the cover, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ Dicky Barrett makes a cameo in the official video that now has over 150k views.
Throughout the course of the year, sullvn has spent time out on the road bringing the joy of their live shows to more cities. They’ve opened for The Wailers and played at festivals like Bourbon & Beyond, BeachLife and Fiesta Del Sol.
