Show Me The Body Announces Monumental Corpus Grows North America Headline Tour
The New York-based hardcore trio, Show Me The Body, has announced their North American headline tour, Corpus Grows, set for this fall. This announcement follows their recent stint as the opening act for Knocked Loose on their exhaustive and entirely sold-out 31-city tour this past spring, and Show Me The Body’s highly praised World War Tour last year. After a series of international festivals and shows this summer, their forthcoming fall tour will commence at the end of September and extend through the beginning of November. The tour includes stops in numerous major cities across the country and festival performances at Louder Than Life, Furnace Fest, Aftershock, and VIVA PHX. The tour will reach its climax at the Knockdown Center in Queens, marking Show Me The Body’s largest hometown show to date. Supporting acts for Show Me The Body include High Vis and BIB, with additional support from Special Interest, ZelooperZ, Bearcat, and HiTech on selected dates. Artist and local presale tickets will be available June 26th at 10am local time, and general tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 28th at 10am local time.
The tour is in collaboration with CORPUS NYC, a mutual aid and creative collective established by Show Me The Body in 2015. The collective, now based in Queens, initially organized unconventional, purposeful DIY spaces for NYC youth and has since expanded globally through its compelling, ceremonial live shows, underground punk and hip-hop mixed tours, and the CORPUS NYC platform.
Established in 2009, Show Me The Body is comprised of Julian Cashwan Pratt (founder; banjo and vocals), Harlan Steed (founder; bass), and Jackie McDermott (current drummer). Over the past 15 years, they have released several EPs and three full-length albums: Body War (2016), Dog Whistle (2019), and their most recent album, Trouble The Water (2022). The 12-track album was recorded entirely at CORPUS Studios in Long Island City with Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Turnstile, Municipal Waste). Trouble The Water pays tribute to the physical city and the New York Sound, encapsulating the people and subcultures that form the city’s true foundation. Through the deliberate nurturing of their local and global chosen families and a decade-long commitment to preserving the New York Sound, Show Me The Body has established a legacy of challenging and permanently altering the rigid boundaries of the hardcore genre.
