SLAYYYTER ANNOUNCES ALBUM WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA OUT MARCH 27

Cult-favorite pop disruptor SLAYYYTER announced her highly-anticipated third full-length LP WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, due out on March 27 via RECORDS / Columbia Records. Her new single and video “DANCE…” is out now, serving as SLAYYYTER’s newest preview of the record.

With “DANCE…”, SLAYYYTER sharpens her edge into a fierce dancefloor manifesto. Driven by pounding rhythms and gripping hooks, the song turns frustration into momentum with a mantra of confidence and escape. Rooted in gritty nightlife energy, the track transforms contempt and chaos into a cathartic anthem of independence and lives as a reference point for the entirety of the album.

The accompanying music video, directed by SLAYYYTER is a cinematic statement, blending the gritty Midwest-core that has come to define this era with the raw glamor of underground nightclub dance scenes. Tension builds as the video unfolds, culminating with dramatic visuals of a rain-soaked dancefloor and a sweeping fireworks display.

Of the new song, SLAYYYTER shares, “’DANCE…’ feels like a more proper pop song compared to some grittier things I have released, but it has always remained one of my favorites from this album. It sums up the feelings you have on a night out when someone shows up to the party that you just don’t want to see or talk to. Someone that you know doesn’t like you very much but is nice to your face, or someone that makes you feel small and insecure. I think the night always hits a point when you just want to get drunk and forget.”

SLAYYYTER began concocting her next chapter in earnest: one more authentically her, equal parts defiant and introspective. She began thinking about her St. Louis roots, which in turn made her revisit the formative sounds of her teen years. WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA is both revelation and evolution, an end destination SLAYYYTER could only reach by going full circle.
