Star Jackson Shares “You Do You” Single via Americana Highways

Star Jackson’s latest single “You Do You” is a fiery anthem of freedom wrapped in Southern sass and is out today via Americana Highways. Following her acclaimed debut “High Horse”, this new track cements Star Jackson as a rising voice redefining what it means to be a woman in country music.

““You Do You” is one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written,” Star explains. “It came from that place we’ve all been—where folks try to tell you who to be, how to act, what to tone down. I just got tired of playing nice with expectations that were never mine to carry.

With her signature blend of vintage country tone and bold songwriting, Star takes a stand against cookie-cutter expectations and sings straight from the heart. From flipping the script on Stepford standards to telling off unsolicited opinions with lyrical wit, “You Do You” is the new soundtrack for self-love, confidence, and doing life your own way. “It’s for anyone who’s just had enough of all the noise coming from all different directions in the world we live in today. The ones carving their own path, raising their babies their way, speaking their mind, leaving toxic jobs and relationships, loving fully, and living freely. It’s for all the ones standing unapologetically in their own authenticity.

Star Jackson’s new anthem “You Do You” is for anybody who’s done asking permission. Bold, cheeky, and 100% real. “‘You do you—and I’ll do me.’ It’s more than a lyric– It’s a lifestyle.”
