Multiplatinum Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley has released a fresh new single and music video titled “Robbery 7”, now available via Grizzley Gang/300 Entertainment.
The song is the latest addition to his popular “Robbery” series, further broadening Tee’s musical universe. The track features a chilling keyboard loop that resonates as his introspective lyrics make a profound impact. Rapping from the brink of death, he expresses his regrets and wonders about his fate, “Wish I could hug the people that loved me, could’ve done things right. I see the white gates, will they let me in? Do I deserve it?” The video, directed by Jerry Productions, begins with Tee, riddled with bullets, rapping to the camera from the floor. After a month-long recovery, he leaves the hospital, gets into his girlfriend’s truck, and tries to rebuild his life. The video effectively brings his narrative to life with unfiltered intensity.
“Robbery 7” follows the release of “Swear to God” featuring Future. The music video received positive reviews from Complex, Stereogum, and others. Rolling Stone described it as a “hard-hitting single,” while Billboard noted how “Both of them went off.”
