Motown Records rising star Tiana Major9 has released “The Making of Tiana Major9”, a behind the scenes look into her life and musical background.
Tiana also made her daytime TV performance debut on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” today—watch her interview and performance of “Same Space?”.

This summer Tiana Major9 released her new EP, AT SIXES AND SEVENS. She also gave her fans a unique look into the making of the EP through her autobiographical 4-part miniseries, BEHIND AT SIXES AND SEVENS. The series explores the evolution of Tiana and each episode melodically chronicles the expansion of her sound, artistry, perspective and journey to her signing with Motown Records through her music and lyrics. Tiana Major9 has been referred to as “one to watch in 2020” by Billboard and Marie Claire states that “the rising songstress is one to watch and take notes from…”.
When asked about her EP Tiana states, “To be at Sixes and Sevens means to be at a state of total confusion…Love is confusing.”
In June, SPIN premiered Tiana’s track “Lucky”, written with Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman (J. Cole, H.E.R., Anderson .Paak), who also produced, and PRGRSHN (WSTRN, Stormzy, Wizkid). “Lucky” followed the breakout artist’s Motown solo debut, “Think About You” (Notion Mix) – a song that reveals her classic reggae influences yet feels very “right now.” View the lyric video, which premiered on Teen Vogue, HERE. Tiana, who has been named a Vevo DSCVR artist, roots her bold blend of future-facing R&B, enduring soul, and hip-hop attitude in boundless jazz eloquence twisted up with saucy East London inflection and a touch of Jamaican spirit.
“Collide,” her collaboration with EARTHGANG, has surpassed 30 Million combined global steams to date. It was the lead single from the acclaimed : The Soundtrack. Naming it as one of the Best R&B Songs of 2019, VIBE, said, “‘Collide’ is an intoxicating duet that delicately intertwines neo-soul tranquility with harrowing emotion…pure gold.” Tiana and EARTHGANG performed the track on the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” at the Soul Train Awards ’19 and at Billboard “Women In Music 2019.”
Earlier this year, Tiana featured on “Rainfall,” a track from Stormzy’s new album, Heavy Is The Head, which topped the Official Albums chart in the U.K. VICE has hailed Tiana as “a singular voice in British black soul” and Billboard declared, “Tiana Major9 is one to watch in 2020.”
