TINASHE ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM ‘POPSTAR’ COMING SEPTEMBER 25TH

Multi-platinum selling singer, songwriter, producer and DJ Tinashe announces her 8th studio album, Popstar set for release September 25th – pre-order. With the Popstar Tinashe immerses her fans into her current era: one filled with defiant and unapologetic anthems, paired with high-energy, choreography filled visuals to match that continue to show off her innate ability to flawlessly blend genres and pave her own path.

To coincide with the announcement, she shares a new single and music video for “Crash Out”. Produced by Couros, the single fuses snapping beats with Tinashe’s relaxed vocals to create an irresistible listen as she sings, “I’m about to lose it, but I don’t really care no more.” The dance-heavy accompanying music video is directed by 91 Rules (Kelela, Destroy Lonely), with creative direction from Tinashe.

“Crash Out” follows the release of “Too Easy,” both of which will appear on the highly anticipated Popstar album. “Too Easy” received widespread critical praise from the likes of Rolling Stone who included the track in Songs You Need to Know, declaring it a“…swaggering single…” while Billboard proclaimed the “clubby pop track…[is] coated in confidence” withStereogum adding “…it’s good as hell.” The accompanying music video depicts Tinashe being recreated as a clone of herself to become the ultimate ‘popstar’.

This new era comes on the heels of Tinashe’s back to back #1 charting hits with “No Broke Boys” with Disco Lines and “Nasty.” “No Broke Boys” with Disco Lines hit number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and remained for several weeks. The track was nominated at this year’s BRIT awards for “International Song of the Year,” at the 2026 American Music Awards for Social Song of the Year and won Dance Song of the Year at the 2026 iHeart Radio Music Awards. The song originally appeared on her album, Quantum Baby, which also featured her #1 hit single “Nasty.” “Nasty” propelled to new heights and upon release, was lauded as the song of summer by many in 2024.
