UNIVERSAL MUSIC HONORS ANDALUSIAN TALENT AT THE LATIN GRAMMY® CELEBRA: LA MÚSICA DE ANDALUCÍA
Universal Music took part in the tribute that the Latin Recording Academy® dedicated to the music of Andalusia, a historic event held at the Cartuja Center in Seville.
The gala brought together great legends and icons of the region, with tributes to Enrique Morente, Rocío Jurado, Camarón de la Isla, Lola Flores, Miguel Ríos, Alejandro Sanz, Joaquín Sabina, and Raphael.
Artists such as David Bisbal and Luis Fonsi, who hosted the gala, introduced the various tributes that made up the evening.
Aitana, Ángeles Toledano, David Bisbal, Joaquina, Kiki Morente, Luis Fonsi, Manuel Carrasco, María Terremoto, and Vanesa Martín delivered memorable performances that highlighted the cultural richness and international impact of Andalusian music.

TRIBUTE TO ENRIQUE MORENTE
Kiki Morente and Ángeles Toledano paid a heartfelt tribute to the maestro alongside Lagartija Nick and Juan Manuel Cañizares. With the power of inherited cante and the freshness of the new generations, both moved the audience deeply. Ángeles dazzled with the purity of her voice, while Kiki brought the intensity of his family legacy, in a performance that became one of the most memorable of the night.
María Terremoto lit up the stage with a powerful medley of “A tu vera,” “Lola de España,” and “El Lerele.” Her performance, full of duende and authenticity, became one of the most acclaimed tributes of the night, honoring “La Faraona” with an intensity that moved everyone present.
TRIBUTE TO ALEJANDRO SANZ
Joaquina, the young singer-songwriter and GRAMMY winner for “Best New Artist” in 2023, captivated Seville with an intimate and heart-wrenching performance of “Amiga Mía.” Her performance showcased the talent of an artist who, with only a few years of career behind her, is already emerging as one of the most promising voices in Latin music.
PRESENT AND FUTURE
Manuel Carrasco performed a medley of “El Grito del Niño,” “Pueblo Salvaje”, and “Soy Afortunado.” As a finale, he surprised the audience with a completely improvised performance, full of emotion and carrying a clear social statement about the conflict in the Middle East. His courage and sensitivity moved the entire theater to rise to their feet in fervent applause, turning his performance into one of the most powerful and talked-about moments of the night.
Vanesa Martín, with a medley of “Arráncame” and “Intimidad,” delivered one of the most delicate and moving performances of the gala. Her warm voice and unmistakable sensitivity won over the audience, reaffirming her place as one of the great songwriters and performers in Spanish music.
David Bisbal shone on stage with a showcase of three of his most iconic anthems: “Dígale,” “Ave María,” and “Bulería.” A moment of pure energy and celebration that thrilled the audience from start to finish.
Luis Fonsi paid tribute to the legendary composer with an emotional rendition of “Pobre Diablo.” His performance, elegant and precise, was one of the most applauded of the night.
Aitana, together with Jeanette, delivered another memorable moment with “Frente a Frente,” bringing freshness to a timeless classic that shone brilliantly at the Cartuja Center.
TRIBUTE TO RAPHAEL
Vanesa Martín returned to the stage to pay tribute to Raphael with “En carne viva.” Her performance was a display of respect and admiration for one of the great icons of Spanish music, earning a standing ovation from the audience.
With this event, Universal Music reaffirms its commitment to promoting the diversity and talent of its artists, celebrating the legacy and future of Latin and flamenco music.
