Unstoppable Powerhouse TALIA RAE Dives Into Escapism in Music Video For ‘ROCKET WOMAN

STEVIE NICKS SUPPORT ANNOUNCED AT THE MUSIC ICON’S UPCOMING BST HYDE PARK SHOW ON 12TH JULY

Talia Rae, a rapidly emerging powerhouse talent and singer-songwriter from East London, has unveiled the official music video for her new track ‘Rocket Woman’, now available through Glassnote Records. The video, filmed in London and directed by Sarah Dattani Tucker, captures Talia as she imagines an underwater getaway, liberating herself from the shackles of reality and plunging into a world filled with limitless creativity, self-reflection, and the exhilarating rush of unforeseen peril. The video skillfully interweaves scenes of Talia in a coffee shop, anchoring the song’s surreal elements in the real world.

Of the music video, Talia Rae said: “I wanted to create two opposing worlds, one which you can relate to and one which you can escape into. When I wrote Rocket Woman, I always knew I wanted the visuals to reflect both the weirdness and the reality of the song, and being underwater to me felt like it was the perfect way of showing what escapism looks like in a masochistic way.”

‘Rocket Woman’, a cinematic composition produced by Mike Spencer (known for his work with Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue), has already received recognition from The Line of Best Fit, DORK, Official Charts, 1883 Mag, Noctis Magazine, BBC Introducing, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, and more.

‘Rocket Woman’ marks Talia’s second release, succeeding her debut single, ‘Not A Heartbreak’. This debut showcased her powerful vocals and confident performance, akin to a well-known artist. ‘Rocket Woman’ is presented as an auditory spectacle. It features a mesmerising piano melody and strings reminiscent of a Bond film, leading the listener into a sonic wonderland. Here, Talia’s voice shifts from gentle whispers to commanding, full-throttle vocals. This empowering anthem is punctuated by dramatic drum crashes and space-inspired production elements, giving ‘Rocket Woman’ a sense of vastness that mirrors the infinite expanse of the universe.

“Rocket Woman is a conversation with yourself about dreams vs reality, empowerment vs escapism and the person you are and the person you’re yet to be. The song’s nature takes you on a journey of intrigue in a world of your own.” – Talia Rae

Talia Rae, a rising talent from Essex, UK, has been refining her skills through a combination of self-discipline and formal training at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. Now, at the tender age of 21, she’s making waves in London, impressing her collaborators with a maturity that belies her years.

Last year, Talia made her debut as a headline act at a sold-out show at Paper Dress Vintage, where she delivered a stunning performance alongside her songwriting partner, Jade Bird. She later released ‘Not A Heartbreak’ just before embarking on her UK tour with Benjamin Francis Leftwich, a frequent collaborator from Dirty Hit. This track marked the beginning of a series of releases that will give fans a chance to experience Talia’s enchanting songs and extraordinary vocals beyond her live performances.

In ‘Not A Heartbreak’, Talia pairs her powerful, soulful vocals with deeply personal lyrics, exploring the unique pain of losing someone you never truly had. The official video, shot at Hackney Picturehouse and directed by Ned Botwood, beautifully captures this sentiment.

In May, Talia made her festival debut at Brighton’s The Great Escape, where she captivated a full house with her spine-tingling vocals. In July, she’s set to perform at BST Hyde Park alongside the legendary Stevie Nicks, as well as at the Latitude Festival. These performances will follow her sold-out headline show at Rae’s (a part of OMEARA, London) earlier this month.

Talia’s forthcoming releases, produced by Mike Spencer (Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue) and Charlie Andrews (Alt-J, London Grammar, Wolf Alice), draw inspiration from music legends, including Amy Winehouse, whose iconic debut album, Frank, sparked Talia’s songwriting journey. Through her own work, marked by honesty and vulnerability, she hopes to empower others, much like how music has empowered her. With more music on the horizon, Talia’s songs are captivating, bewitching, and showcase a truly remarkable voice.
