Following the release of his first single, “L.O.A.T.” after a 14-month hiatus, Detroit rap innovator Veeze is back with his newest effort, “Signed a Napkin”. The track, recorded just last month, shows off the dexterity of Veeze‘s ever-evolving style. Hopping on an iconic sample, Loose Ends’ 80s UK R&B classic “Slow Down,”Veeze spotlights his limitless braggadocio with lines like, “I overdid it, Chrome glasses with the buff work / he dressin’ like me but he late 5 summers”. The accompanying video directed by Lestyn Park & Jimmy Whisperz show’s a day in the life of Veeze: hanging out @ the AMP mansion with Kai Cenat and company, locking in at the studio until the break of dawn and chilling with his cohort, including Babyface Ray, Rylo Rodriguez, Lucki and more. The single comes on the heels of his appearance on a fan-favorite In the Booth stream with New Orleans rapper Rob49 and Twitch streamer Plaqueboymax in partnership with NBA 2k26, making three songs over a 5-hour stream. After linking up with Max, Veeze joined Kai Cenat on Day 5 of his Mafiathon 3 stream, where the two connected with On The Radar Radio host Gabe P for a live freestyle — further proof that Veeze is back in full swing and feeding fans across every platform.

Since the release of his 2023 debut album Ganger – the most critically acclaimed debut rap album of the decade, earning spots on year-end “Best Of” lists from the likes of The Washington PostPitchforkRolling StoneCOMPLEXThe FADER, and Stereogum, as well as the No. 6 ranking on Pitchfork‘s 100 Best Albums of the 2020s list – Veeze has stayed active with a run of new music, performances, and collaborations. He linked with Lil Yachty on back-to-back singles “CAN’T BE CRETE BOY” and “Sorry Not Sorry,” the latter marking his first single entry on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 99 and arriving alongside a Cole Bennett–produced Lyrical Lemonade video. He’s also made appearances with Rylo Rodriguez on “F*cked A Fan”, Babyface Ray‘s Codeine Cowboy with the track “Half Sleep”, EST Gee on “My Love,” and on Chuckyy’s I Live, I Die, I Live Again with “Right Key,” continuing to build within the Detroit and wider rap network. On the live side, he’s taken the stage at LollapaloozaRolling Loud Miami, and Broccoli City Festival, bringing his sound to some of the country’s most visible platforms. Rooted in Detroit, Veeze is now expanding onto national stages, shaping the next phase of his career on his own terms.
