Ski Mask the Slump God’s, 46-location, Eleventh Dimension tour was not only stacked with tour dates but had a heavy lineup of artists as well. Molly Santana was the first to light up the stage at Denver’s Summit Music Hall followed by Danny Towers, DJ Scheme, Hardrock, and even tribute performances of the late Juice WRLD and XXXTentacion. The energy felt more loving than ever for a night of aggressive and hard-hitting music. The openers expressed the unity that should be felt between the fans making sure everyone cared for each other and if someone went down they were helped up.

Slump God would carry this energy into his set staying conscious of the crowd and having everyone take a step back if needed. His song, “Take a Step Back”, would have the crowd giving it their all as I watched the clash of an opened-up pit from the balcony. As I was spectating from the balcony I spotted Molly Santanna and Danny Towers in the crowd watching along and interacting with fans. Slump God brought the openers back out several times giving a sense of family between the artists.

I can only imagine the closeness you’d hold on to between your fellow musicians after losing the one closest to you. Ski Mask the Slump God’s career would start in a juvenile detention when he would meet his creative partner Jahseh Onfrey, better known as XXXTentacion. They would kickstart their music careers together and continue to collaborate and tour following their rises to fame. It’s now been 6 years since Onfrey’s tragic death in 2018 and 5 since his other close friend, Juice WRLD’s, in 2019. Even though the music industry took a big hit with the loss of those two, Slump God continues to carry their energy with him and gives fans a new experience of their music. An emotion of grief, condolence, and nostalgia was felt in the venue during, “Jocelyn Flores”, “SAD!” and Juice WRLD’s “Legends”.

Spirits are brought right back following those songs with Slump God performing his and Juice WRLD’s high-energy “Nuketown”. The crowd’s energy would stay heightened even after the show as a dense crowd would await Slump God by his tour bus. The night would end with DJ Scheme coming back out to greet fans in front of the stage and Slump God greeting fans outside accompanied by his openers. The energy of the show carried home with me like no other, replaying songs in my head and wishing I’d one day put the camera down and join the pit for a future Slump God show
