ZEP DROPS NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “NOBODY”
Dutch producer, singer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist ZEP has officially released his latest single, “NOBODY”, out now via PULSE Records, alongside an accompanying music video. The release follows his sold-out NYC rave and 66GREENE performance, where he unveiled a live rendition of the high-energy self-acceptance anthem.
“FEELING YOUR SELF ANTHEM WHILE REFLECTING ON THE PAST. This song is about self-acceptance. Learning to embrace the parts of myself I once felt insecure about. I’ve had to come to terms with being tall, bald, not always financially stable, and not having my mom around. Instead of hiding those things, I’ve learned to celebrate them. There’s NOBODY like me, you. I hope this song reminds listeners that the things that make you feel different are actually what make you special. Embrace the “weird” parts they’re your superpower,” says ZEP.
“NOBODY” opens with a sharp, driving drum break before plunging into a surge of pulsing bass and euphoric rhythm built for the dance floor. ZEP’s raw, grunge-inspired vocals cut through the mix as he delivers an unapologetic verse about embracing imperfection, leading into a sweeping chorus carried by ethereal synth chords and a dreamy guitar arpeggio. The result is a cathartic release that balances intensity with introspection. Directed by ZEP and Lost Noise, the “NOBODY” music video opens with ZEP firing up a battered sound system beneath a bridge, clad in a black leather jacket and jeans that mirror the setting’s gritty, sand-covered backdrop. He kicks up dust before launching into a fierce display of live drumming, guitar work, and high-energy stomping and dancing, which then expands into a surreal sequence of multiple ZEPs playing every instrument to underscore his multi-instrumental range and DIY spirit.
Dutch multi-instrumentalist and producer ZEP is breaking rules, bending genres, and paving his own lane in modern music. The son of Bazz Barnasconi, frontman of Dutch alternative rock band Vankatoen, ZEP grew up surrounded by live music and developed an early passion for drums before studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Rooted in the skate, fashion, hip-hop, and electronic communities, his work channels an authentic, boundary-pushing energy that thrives both in his recordings and immersive 360-audio live shows. Keeping the rebellious spirit of rock, hip-hop, and punk alive, ZEP continues to emerge as a true artist’s artist with a sound entirely his own.
