On Friday March 1st, 2 Chainz held the release party for his 5th studio album: Rap or Go to the League. Hosted at the Republic Lounge in Atlanta, Georgia, guests walked into the event on a one of a kind entrance.
Ditching the red carpet entirely, the venue had a light lined mirror tunnel outside that guests passed through, stopping to grab a picture along the way. Inside the two-roomed club, couches surrounding stripper poles spread throughout the event.
Underneath screens flashing the brand-new album cover, all the sponsors, and def jam logo, bartenders served guest their drinks of choice. Waiters walked around the filling-up room to serve guests small appetizers while the DJ played music in the background.
Surrounded by crates, a small photo booth section was set up in the center of the room. In the second room of the venue, more couches were available for guests. Two poles were set up and another DJ was playing separate music from the first room. Slowly the dancers started to come out and perform for the crowd. As the event continued on guests crammed into the venue watching the dancers and dancing to the music. Waiters brought out bottle service, walking through the club with flames shooting out of the sparklers.
Besides bottles, they also brought out platters of racks of bills that could later be seen scattered all over the floor of the club. Eventually, 2 Chainz entered the building as guards escorted him up into the VIP section. 2 Chainz got pictures with friends and other guests in the club and talked with the people around him. After hanging out for a while, 2 Chainz got a mic and performed part of his new album.
The 2 Chainz Rap or Go to the League album party was a one of a kind night to mark the release of one of Atlanta’s greatest rappers 5th album.
