24kGoldn Has 2 Watches And He Still Doesn’t Have Time For That
Ahead of his opening slot for Blueface in LA tonight, 24kGoldn dropped an impromptu hard-hitting and hypnotic single, “Time For That!” where he shares all the things he doesn’t have time for. I can relate, but unlike 24kGoldn I’m usually just lounging watching The Sopranos pretending I don’t have the time, while Goldn somehow manages time to be an Honor Roll student on scholarship at USC, sign a record deal with Barry Weiss’ RECORDS, and drop heaters like “Valentino,” that hit 1M views in a month. All at 18 years old.
The San Francisco native started buzzing after the release of his debut single, “Ballin’ Like Shareef,” and eventually signed a deal with RECORDS (a subsidiary of Columbia). ELEVATOR recently called his rise, “One of the artists I’d feel most confident with predicting a massive year for in 2019.” 24kGoldn just announced Boutique, an EP in which every song is named after a luxury designer. With Boutique, which will be executive produced by D.A. Doman (Kodak Black’s “Zeze,” Tyga’s “Taste),” 24k looks to cement his spot in the rap game.
