Alejandro Sanz received four Latin GRAMMY®2025 nominations for his EP ¿Y Ahora Qué?, which is competing for the coveted Album of the Year category. The album, released in May 2025, also earned him a nomination in the category of Best Contemporary Pop Album.

The Spanish icon is also nominated in two other major ceremony categories: Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Palmeras En El Jardín”.

¿Y Ahora Qué? launched a new chapter in the successful career of the 22-time Latin GRAMMY® winner. The six-song effort represents an evolution in his sound, creative process, and storytelling approach: more shared, more open, and more alive.

On the album, Sanz collaborates again with Shakira on “Bésame,” providing fans with a new anthem and marking 20 years since their first musical endeavor on “La Tortura.” The production also features Manuel Turizo on “Como Sería” and Grupo Frontera on “Hoy No Me Siento Bien.”

Meanwhile, “Palmeras En El Jardín” was the first preview Sanz gave of this new musical chapter. The single, written by Sanz alongside Luis Miguel Gómez Castaño, Manuel Lorente Freire and Elena Rose, bears the Spanish performer’s signature through a love story, “and about how when you want to convert everything or change everything so another person feels good, comfortable,” Sanz told Billboard in 2024.

The recent kickoff of Alejandro’s ¿Y Ahora Qué? world tour in Mexico, with more than 20 dates and record-breaking attendance, has propelled the next phase of the tour, which will see Alejandro Sanz bring his show to some of the most important stadiums in Latin America. Anticipation for the concerts is so high that the date at Lima’s National Stadium sold out completely within hours, prompting the addition of a second show in the city. The tour will continue its triumphant journey through the region with upcoming performances in Bogotá, Quito, Guayaquil, Santiago de Chile, Rosario, Buenos Aires, and Córdoba, where ticket demand is surpassing all expectations.

With this Wednesday’s nods, Sanz reaches an impressive total of 51 Latin GRAMMY® career nominations.

The 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® ceremony will take place on November 13, 2025, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
