ANGEL REESE NAMED EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE WEEK

Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese has been named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the final week of the 2026 regular season, the league announced today. The honor marks Reese’s third consecutive Player of the Week award, making her the first player in Dream history to earn the honor in three straight weeks.
Reese led Atlanta to a perfect 4-0 record during the week, averaging 19.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 60.4 percent from the field.

With her third honor of the season, Reese becomes just the third player in franchise history to win Player of the Week three times in a single season. It marks the fifth Player of the Week award of her WNBA career.

Reese was also named a WNBA Peak Performer today after leading the league with 12.3 rebounds per game during the regular season. The honor is the second rebounding title of her career, tying Candace Parker, Jonquel Jones and Sylvia Fowles for the second-most rebounding titles in WNBA history, trailing only Tina Charles (four).

Reese continued to rewrite the record books during the final week of the regular season, becoming the first player in WNBA history to record 500 rebounds in a single season. The milestone adds to a historic first season in Atlanta in which Reese has established new WNBA single-season records for rebounds, offensive rebounds and double-doubles.
The three-time WNBA All-Star has been a driving force in Atlanta’s success throughout the season, helping the Dream secure its fourth consecutive postseason appearance and 12th in franchise history.

Atlanta now turns its attention to the 2026 WNBA Playoffs, where the Dream will face the Washington Mystics in the First Round. The series tips off Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
