Babyface Ray has detailed his upcoming album Codeine Cowboy, set for release on August 15th marking his first project since 2024’s The Kid That Did. Codeine Cowboy will feature LUCKI, Veeze, Sauce Walka, Mozzy, JMSN, Samuel Shabazz, and more, with today’s drop “Wavy Crete” featuring Lil Yachty. The track follows previous singles like “1 on 1 Talk W/ God” featuring Samuel Shabazz, “Hood Cry” with Mozzy, and “Netflix & Chill.” On Codeine Cowboy, Babyface Ray finds the perfect balance between the early mixtapes that helped him carve out his place as a standout in Detroit’s rap scene and the refined sound of his more recent projects that propelled him onto the national stage.
