BABYTRON DROPS NEW ALBUM ‘TRONICLES’ + VIDEO FOR “HAWK TUA”
Detroit rapper BabyTron has dropped Tronicles, his first album since 2023. Featuring guest appearances from Dave Blunts, LAZER DIM 700, and Project Money, the album finds Tron at home among menacing pianos and the steady, relentless drums of Detroit’s sound, transforming his voice from a monotone drawl to one that rides effortlessly with fast-paced production. Listening to Tronicles is almost educational; BabyTron has the pop culture knowledge of Stump the Schwab with a flair all his own.
“I’m Gen Z, so the internet stuff comes naturally. But you still have to be able to relate to people—not just with memes,” Tron explains. Throughout Tronicles, he’s startlingly controlled, refining his inimitable style of trash-talk simile rap.
Halloween-themed albums have become a tradition for BabyTron fans, a ritual that started with his very first release in October 2019. Now, six Halloween drops later, he’s amassed one of Detroit’s most celebrated catalogs. From sold-out shows to massive streaming numbers, his influence keeps growing. This year, a co-sign from Eminem—where BabyTron is one of just two features on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)—has brought him to new heights.
