Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum recording artist Birdy has honored the start of Gemini season with a thematic capsule release “Air: Gemini Songs” – comprised of her most ethereal, flowing tracks including “Celestial Dancer,” “The Otherside,” “Wings,” and “Silhouette.” This marks the first of twelve Zodiac-themed playlists to arrive from the UK singer-songwriter throughout the coming year. These recent releases come on the heels of her long-awaited fourth album ‘Young Heart,’ arriving last month to critical acclaim including from Billboard, The Guardian, NME and more.

‘Young Heart’ proved quite the departure from her previous album, 2015’s dramatic ‘Beautiful Lies.’ Where Beautiful Lies was a fairy tale, Young Heart is a gritty realist portrait of the artist in pain, looking for the light. The songs on the album tussle between light and dark, between that vastness of space and the interior of home. The conflict between wanting to hide away and being compelled to go away, to new places and new experiences play out across the record.

Following the success of Birdy’s recent global livestream performance at Wilton’s Music Hall ‘a masterful show…had the feel of a festival headline set – The Independent,’ Birdy will play an intimate special performance at Kentish Town Forum on November 21^st, a venue she last played in 2014. The intimate performance will be Birdy’s first headline show since 2016 and marks Birdy’s return to the stage, with many more dates to be announced in due course.
