The release follows a standout week for Artemas, who just stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge for a dynamic session featuring performances of his hit tracks “if u think i’m pretty” and “southbound,” plus an arresting cover of Mitski’s “Washing Machine Heart.”
“you and i could never be friends” arrives just weeks after Artemas’ latest mixtape LOVERCORE, which was led by electrifying singles “southbound” and “superstar” quickly boosting the project to already over 110 million total streams.
The momentum continues to build as his recent achievements stack up: “i like the way you kiss me” has officially earned an RIAA 3× Platinum certification, while “if you think i’m pretty” is now RIAA Platinum.
