Brothers Osborne brought a night of hard hitting country rock to Detroit at the Fillmore Theater

The historic Fillmore, previously known as the State Theatre, sits in the shadows directly down the road from the equally historic Fox Theatre in the up and coming downtown Detroit district. Both have been home to countless big shows in their almost century of existence. The Bros did their part to add to the majestic theatre’s history with a sold out, crowd pleasing performance.
Brothers Osborne brought the upstart country rock group the Wild Feathers along for this leg of the tour. The band is vocal and guitar heavy, with all four members of the band acting as lead singers in one capacity or another previously, the group brought a mixture of strong harmony with guitar heavy compositions that matched well to the show that was to follow.

In only their second stop on their 2019 North American Tour, the rock duo consisting of lead guitar player John Osborne and lead vocalist and guitar player TJ Osborne produced a high energy show mixed mixed with hard driving rock anthems and softer melodic pieces. The show stared with hard charging Drank like Hank, a single off their 2nd studio offering Port Saint Joe and continued with the equally high energy Shoot Me Straight. This album has been a tremendous success for the group. TJ took some time to share the news that they had received only that morning in that the album had just been nominated for a Grammy.
The set continued with a selection of hits and a stripped down acoustic component which included some of their bigger Tequila Again and 21 Summer. The set finished off with 2 mega hits Stay and Ain’t My Fault. Both tracks provided John, the musical engine behind the musical train, the freedom to stretch his musical legs with ample time for lyrical solos with the final song stretching nearly 10 minutes.

Overall, the band started on a high note and finished even higher, giving the sold out audience an idea of what the hype is all about. The band showed great range in their recent, now Grammy nominated, studio disc and brought the same component to the show on Friday night.
