CHANCE PEÑA RELEASES SOUL-BARING NEW SINGLE “COLLAPSE” OUT NOW VIA COLUMBIA RECORDS

With his signature blend of poetic honesty and cinematic folk-pop, Texas-born singer, songwriter, and producer Chance Peña returns with Collapse,” a deeply personal new single out now via Columbia Records. At its core, “Collapse” is about finding steadiness in someone you love—a raw, heartfelt reminder that even when the world feels unsteady, the right person can be your ground.

“Collapse” captures the moment when life feels like too much to bear alone — when you’re caught in the whirlwind of change, learning hard lessons, and trying not to fall apart. Through vulnerable lyrics and warm, atmospheric production, Chance reflects on what it means to be held up by love when your own strength falters. The song will be featured on Chance’s just-announced upcoming album, When I Change My Mind I Don’t Mean It, which is set for release on August 29.

“Collapse” arrives on the heels of Chance’s debut song on Columbia, “Tongue Tied”, and builds on his growing momentum. The two tracks serve as emotional bookends—where “Tongue Tied” wrestles with what can’t be said, “Collapse” leans into vulnerability and asks to be seen. Chance’s gift for merging folk-rooted instrumentation with cinematic textures and soul-baring lyrics continues to set him apart.
