CHELSEA CUTLER DROPS NEW SINGLE “SORRY I’M OBSESSED WITH YOU”
multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Chelsea Cutler turns up the heat with the release of her brand new single, “SORRY I’M OBSESSED WITH YOU”, out now via Mercury Records. Arriving alongside a sultry music video starring podcaster and content creator Becca Moore, the track marks another bold step into Cutler’s most confident and liberated era yet.
Chelsea shares, “I’m so grateful to my queerness for liberating me and allowing me to occupy spectrums. And I’m so grateful to my music – and to ‘SORRY I’M OBSESSED WITH YOU specifically’ – for providing me with infinite space to express all of myself. Where I once felt fearful, I now feel emboldened.” You can read more on Chelsea’s Substack HERE.
“SORRY I’M OBSESSED WITH YOU” showcases Cutler at her most inhibited and fully leaning into a renewed version of her dance-pop roots. Over hypnotic production, she delivers the track’s irresistible hook, “Baby come put me in my place, got me addicted to your taste. Criminal all the things I do, sorry I’m obsessed with you.”
The single follows the release of her fan-favorite track “BAD” and builds further excitement for her highly anticipated full-length project arriving later this year. Together, the songs signal an exciting new chapter for Cutler defined by fearless honesty, sonic evolution, and undeniable pop instincts.

Following a sold-out North American run on the Brent Forever Tour with Jeremy Zucker last year, Chelsea made the intentional choice to slow down. She spent much of 2025 grounded at home in New York City—stepping away from the constant rhythm of touring to reconnect with friends, meet new people, and embrace post-breakup independence. With space to breathe, she found inspiration in unexpected places, diving into books and films while listening to artists like M83, Bon Iver, Mk.gee, and Clams Casino, and allowing creativity to arrive naturally and without pressure.
It was during this season that this new musical chapter came to life. Writing without guardrails and embracing the natural ebb and flow of creativity, Cutler now reemerges reenergized and fully alive in her artistry. She says, “I feel like I’m back. All of the reasons why I fell in love with making music in the first place are present again. This is what I want to do. Hopefully, you can hear how excited I am in this song.”
