Chloe Cherry makes her music debut with Blaketheman1000 on new single “I Want More Money”

Following his recent Boiler Room performance with Mike WiLL Made-It and Murda Beatz, NYC-based artist Blaketheman1000 has just shared his new single “I Want More Money”. His second outing of the year, “I Want More Money” is a collaboration track with Euphoria star Chloe Cherry, who is fresh off her recent appearance alongside Chloë SevignyJulia FoxRachel SennottEmma Chamberlain, and Gabbriette in Charli XCX‘s viral “360” video. Stamping Chloe Cherry‘s music debut, the infectious song is rooted in a sticky, comedic hook (“I want more money/So I can pay your rent, I wanna pay your rent/You shouldn’t have to work at your stupid-ass job anymore for your stupid-ass boss”) and arrives accompanied by a nostalgic music video that parodies MTV‘s Next, a reality dating show that ran on the network from 2005 to 2008. The video is directed and edited by Sarah Ritter and features co-production credits from FearDorian and Twisco (Kanye WestPlayboi Carti) alongside Blake and Chloe.

“Chloe and I have been friends for a few years,” Blaketheman1000 shares. “We met after Chloe used my song ‘Pixies’ in a TikTok. When we hang out we like to go to restaurants, talk about pop culture, smoke weed, and sometimes make music. We’ve made a few songs, but when we made ‘I Want More Money‘, we felt excited to share it with the whole world.” “I always wanted to make music but never felt like I was good enough,” Chloe Cherry adds. “Blake made me feel comfortable enough with myself musically to make a real song.”Known for his off-the-wall alt-pop, recent years have seen Blaketheman1000 release a strong string of singles, for which he’s garnered critical praise from the likes of Rolling StonePAPEROffice MagazineDAZED, and The FACE in the lead-up to the release of his debut album, due out next year. An actress, model, and all-around It-Girl, Chloe Cherry has recently made waves with her performances in Euphoria and The French Italian, the latter of which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this summer, as well as campaigns for Versace x SSENSE and Urban Decay.
