COCHISE UNLEASHES HIS DEBUT PROJECT ‘BENBOW CRESCENT’

Peddling a fresh and melodic take on the modern Florida sound, Cochise effortlessly straddles the line between dancehall sounds with futuristic beats. Stepping into the spotlight for a versatile new project, Cochise shares Benbow Crescent. Spanning 18 tracks, Benbow Crescent shares its name with a street in Kingston where Cochise’s family comes from. “I’m going back to my Jamaican roots”, he proclaims.

The project includes “Hatchback” which earned over 11.5 million video views taking inspiration from the iconic Tokyo Ghoul, and the NY anthem “Knicks” which is sitting over 2.5 million video views. Benbow Crescent showcases the rapper/producer enjoying himself while taking listeners on an experience. The cover artwork features a photo of Junjo Lawes, an influential Jamaican producer captured by Canadian photographer Beth Lesser who spent much of the 80’s immersed in dancehall culture. The project features production from Archie Cordella, ProdLouis, ProdbyCarlos, Cliiiford, Nonbruh, Deeboffical, Okboiiii, Lousho3000, Javvi and Cochise himself.
