DANNYLUX EXPANDS HIS ARTISTRY WITH NEW ALBUM & SHORT FILM LEYENDA

Mexican-American Latin GRAMMY-nominated artist, producer, and musician DannyLux releases his highly anticipated new album and accompanying short film, LEYENDA, via VPS Music LLC / Warner Music Latina.
Spanning 19 original tracks, LEYENDA marks a bold creative leap for DannyLux—one that reflects his growth not only as a songwriter and musician, but as a multidimensional artist unafraid to explore new terrain. The album blends his signature sad sierreño style with genre experimentation and emotional nuance, offering a deeper, more refined perspective on love, heartbreak, solitude, and self-discovery.
Produced by DannyLux alongside David Moisés Segura, Edward Bracamonte, César Armando Posada Uribe, Ehren Fear, and Dariell Cano-Leon, the album showcases a cohesive yet diverse sonic landscape. Each track reveals a different side of DannyLux’sevolving artistry, balancing poetic lyricism with unexpected arrangements and textures.
The project’s centerpiece and focus track, “Sirena,” is a modern corrido ballad that honors the genre’s storytelling roots while highlighting DannyLux’s distinct melodic sensibility. Its lyrics tell the tale of being entranced by a mysterious woman, a narrative brought to life in the visualizer—featured as part of the Leyendashort film—which marks DannyLux’s debut as an actor and introduces a new dimension to his creative universe.
Alongside the album’s release, DannyLux unveils the short film LEYENDA, marking his first foray into acting and expanding the scope of his artistry. Directed by Elías López and executive produced by AGÜITA, the film was shot across striking locations—the sun-bleached deserts of California and the gothic-style Teatro Helénico in Mexico City. Un
The narrative begins in a modest diner in the desert, where Danny wrestles with creative doubt. From there, the film takes a surreal turn, transporting him to a dark, medieval, castle-like world where he confronts the powerful forces of inspiration, transformation, and self-discovery. Through poetic visuals and symbolic storytelling, LEYENDA offers a deeper, more cinematic lens into DannyLux’s artistic evolution and inner world.
Earlier this year, Danny released two singles off LEYENDA, “Ya No Estas” & “Cielo Eterno“ ft Jasiel Nuñez. Plus, he shared the stage with Eslabon Armado and Cuco for Viva Music Festival’s “I Heart L.A.” benefit concert. All ticket proceeds went to MusiCares which will aid musicians affected by the fires that devastated Los Angeles this year. In 2024, Danny received his first Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album for his project, EVOLUXION, and toured the US and Mexico. Plus, he was featured on the Grammy’s Press Play series, the SoundCloud docu-series, SCENES: Música Mexicana presented by Toyota, and the Spotify campaign “La Tierra de Música Mexicana”. Danny also became the first artist to team up with altruistic, impact-driven creator, Jesús Morales to participate in the creator’s celebrated street vendor buyout campaigns.
