EMJAY REVEALS POP PESADO, THE ALBUM DEFINING HER NEW ERA, AND PRESENTS “LOBO”
EMJAY sets the name and release date for one of the most important projects of her career with the announcement of POP PESADO, her upcoming album under Warner Music México, arriving September 24. The reveal comes alongside “Lobo,” the second single of this era and a new glimpse into the sound, aesthetic, and intensity that will define the album.
In “Lobo,” EMJAY explores an irresistible yet dangerous attraction. Driven by desire, tension, and seduction, the story shifts the rules of who is chasing whom. While the wolf believes he is in control, she already knows how the game will end. With creative direction by Jorge Patiño, the official video brings this story to life inside a historic cantina that was once a gathering place for prominent figures in Mexico. Steeped in history, the setting brings a classic and mysterious atmosphere to the song’s visual universe.
With POP PESADO, EMJAY opens one of the most significant chapters of her career. The album is now available to pre-save, offering a first look at a vision that aims to transcend the album format and establish itself as a musical and cultural movement capable of pushing the boundaries of pop. The project will feature 13 tracks and bring together DannyLux, Ximena Sariñana, and Alanis Yuki, whose collaborations introduce distinct musical sensibilities and worlds into the vision of POP PESADO while expanding the artistic scope of the project.

POP PESADO breaks the traditional rules of pop by blending its melodic sensitivity with the intensity of rock. It emerges from EMJAY’s search for a space of her own for music that refuses to fit into a single label. From there, she develops a language that goes beyond sound, connecting music, fashion, and visual storytelling. Vulnerability coexists with strength, and emotions are expressed without filters. POP PESADO takes shape as a cultural and creative identity that reflects EMJAY’s essence and her own way of understanding music.
The concept will also come to life onstage with the POP PESADO Tour 2026, which will travel across Mexico with stops in Mexico City (November 5), Querétaro (November 6), Guadalajara (November 7), León (November 8), Puebla (November 20), and Monterrey (December 3), with more dates to be announced.
