DARCY BAYLIS RELEASES NEW VIDEO SINGLE “WITH THE STEREO ON”
Australian producer and songwriter Darcy Baylis has released a new single “With The Stereo On” – out now, alongside an accompanying music video. Moving through its influences in the space of a few bars, “With The Stereo On” meshes a dubstep beat and drum and bass, trading reverb-soaked guitar with trance arpeggios. Despite the movement, it holds together across every turn. The music video finds Baylis flashing through outdoor landscapes, running from sunrise to sunset, a desert into a forest, sparkling water under a sparkling sky. From the Australian producer behind three albums of club-schooled emo and collaborations with Ninajirachi, daine and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal – “With The Stereo On”is out now.
“With The Stereo On” lands in the middle of the busiest production run of Baylis’ career. He contributed production to Ninajirachi’s I Love My Computer, and has worked with returning collaborators daine, Debby Friday and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal. Writing trips to Los Angeles and London across the last 2 years put him in rooms with newer collaborators Wisp, nothing, nowhere., After, and Photographic Memory. Two of those relationships turned into projects he steered from the desk in 2025: in June, Pack Records released daine’s EP i want the light to swallow me whole, which Baylis executive produced. In August, Royal Mountain and Sub Popreleased Debby Friday’s sophomore project The Starrr Of The Queen Of Life, which Friday and Baylis built over long studio days in London. Baylis has passed 57 million streams across his solo and production catalog. In 2025 he relocated to Los Angeles to work from a new studio with producer Max Epstein, which led to the two forming the band at the forefront of the current “Revivalcore” scene, Car Underwater.
